Lightweight poles
The specific weight of aluminium is approximately 33 percent of that of steel. The typical weight of a pole with a height of six meters is about 20 kilograms. Light weight is an advantage, as less metal is needed and savings are made on transportation costs.
Long lifespan
The lifespan of an aluminium pole is long. We have examples of aluminium light poles in use with a lifetime of more than 50 years.
Fully recyclable
Our poles are made of environmentally friendly materials and designed for reuse and recycling. We use green energy, and social responsibility is paramount in our policies.
When aluminium poles are replaced, they can be returned to Hydro, where we collect, buy and recycle them, giving the aluminium eternal life.
Our aluminum light poles are Cradle to Cradle Certified™ silver, dating back to 2011.
